The Healthy and Wealthy You

Clean teeth are healthy teeth! We know who just whipped the stuff you need for clean and healthy chompers!

Have you seen the ad campaign all over the place for CANISTERS of tooth stuff?  The actor playing the part of the dentist makes every effort to convince John Q. Public that this new container is the end-all and be-all.  What he does NOT tell you is that it could have fluoride and who knows what all else in it.  A study of their label  proves that A) it’s time to visit the eye doctor and B)those canisters may not be your healthiest choice!

Water, water, water...Do we know the importance of good water when it comes to our good health?

The other night I was invited by the good folks at RichDreams to horn in on one of their very rare conference calls, so I moved heaven and earth to be there.

It turned out that they were discussing a subject I am passionate about: WATER.  I have ranted and raved to anyone who had an ear about how important water is to our well being.  One of my pals, Jeff Wellman, teases me all the time about the “three foot cylinder” I carry around with me.

Dr. Batmanhelije, God rest his soul, taught us all about the way water works in our bodies to help us be well.  He was a medical doctor in a prison when he was told he should heal the sick people in the prison population.  He had no medicine so he used water and was astonished to see that ulcers were cured by means of only water, as well as a variety of other ailments!

Now, you must understand that the water available to them had not been assaulted by toxicity as our water supplies are today, but neither had they access to the fine filtration systems that are available today.  Cases in point: High Tech Health; BioPro Technology; even the brand Rich Dreams is touting.  Take your pick.

The correct amount of water to drink is 1/2 ounce for each pound of body weight.  So if you weigh 100 pounds you would drink 50 ounces of the good stuff.

SIDEBAR:  A hundred pounds?  Maybe when I was in sixth grade!  END SIDEBAR.

To be wealthy, you must be healthy.  To be healthy, you must drink your water!  It’s just part of what people need to do to take care of themselves.

We would not dream of neglecting the services we perform on our vehicles.  Yet we fail to drink water-or we pretend we drink water when in fact it is coffee.   We want to think that if it’s wet, it’s water but it’s not fair to your body to this way.

Water.  Organic whole foods.  Moderate amounts of protein.  Adequate, good quality sleep.  Whole foods supplements.  These things will contribute to your health so you can contribute your gifts to create your wealth!

Brush your teeth; wash your hands; mind your manners.  BE WELL!  It’s Christmas!  Being sick is no fun but being sick at Christmas is out of the question?

Affiliate Marketing is one aspect of internet marketing. It’s all about selling other peoples’ stuff and it is a great idea-if it works well.

Is affiliate marketing working well for YOU? If so, you no doubt understand why. And we would be interested to have your comments on this page, if you’d be kind enough to chime in! People will wail, “It didn’t work for me. I tried it but I gave up because I couldn’t do it!”

Giving up is understandable but will not help you achieve profitability and it’s not really necessary. Let’s examine some of the elements of affiliate marketing and see if we can help you figure out what WILL work.

First and foremost, you must know that it is not the affiliate marketing that works; it is YOU.

If you know anything about real estate you have heard the expression “Location. Location. Location.” Location is EVERYTHING in real estate. With internet marketing in general and affiliate marketing in particular the cry is: “Preparation. Preparation. Preparation.

Ben Franklin said “By failing to prepare, you prepare to fail.”

People tend to want instant gratification so they think that by doing anything, even out of sequence, they will surely hit their mark. Think, “Ready. Aim. Fire.” People who are unprepared are likely to fire first and fail to aim or be ready.

Would-be affiliate marketers with home based businesses would be wise to lay out long term goals with short term goals for every step that needs to be taken. Beyond that, there need to be rewards in place for the completion of both long term and short term goals.

SIDEBAR: Make the rewards fit the goals. For example, if you finish three things on your Task List, you get to do the Happy Dance and meet a friend at the coffee shop. When you earn the dollar amount you have set for yourself, you get to turn cartwheels in the yard and spend a day at the beach. Or you get to buy a new book dealing with your niche. I’m sure you get the idea. END SIDEBAR.

Here is a great idea from one of the Top Gurus, an internet marketer who is proficient in affiliate marketing:
He uses a white board to post his goals and his tasks. As each one is accomplished he erases it, does the Chicken Dance, and eats waffles at his local hangout. For the bigger goals, he eats Chinese. That’s HIS thing; what is YOURS?

Don’t get your knickers in a twist when you miss your mark. Reset your goal, tweak your priorities, keep at it and prepare like never before!

Commitment is a huge factor in the success of any endeavor. Internet marketing, affiliate marketing is no different in that way. If you are not committed to your preparation and learning and success, who will do it for you? Commitment cannot be outsourced nor can its importance be underestimated.

When you are committed, consistency will be a given. You cannot expect to post on your blog with your affiliate links and then wait a week or a month to re-post. Your lack of commitment and your lack of enthusiasm will be patently obvious to visitors of your site.

Health is such a passion for me.  Of course, if you have good health, you are likely to have healthy chompers.  People who have tooth problems, most generally have problems with their health, as well.

If you have visited this blog in the past, you know I tend to rant and rave about health and all things healthy.  Today is no different; I want to share some information about ToothSoap because it is making a noticeable difference in my life:  My teeth are no longer sensitive!

She explains in detail about how tooth paste coats the mouth and teeth with things that prevent re-enamelization and re-mineralization of the teeth.  That’s why my teeth are no longer sensitive!  That’s probably why my mouth feels cleaner, too.

I have a confession to make.  I must admit I’ve been holding information you could have had.  I did not do this with malicious intent; I only wanted to be sure I had all my ducks in a row before I shared.

If I were not reading on this computer all day every day I would just while my time away, curled up in a chair with a cup of cheer close by.  I would luxuriate by staying in my jammies and slippers and I most likely would leave the living room draperies closed.  I do have my pride, you know! wink/grin

One of the many subjects that fascinates me is online marketing.  You’re surprised, I’m sure.  I found a wonderful book title and I may not have paid such close attention to it, but I had “met” the author on www.Twitter.com .  SIDEBAR:  Who SAYS I spend too much time Twittering?  END SIDEBAR.

 The name of the book “Make a Fortune Promoting Other People’s Stuff Online: How Affiliate Marketing Can Make You Rich.” It was written by Rosalind Gardner.  Rosalind is one accomplished woman who writes a terrific blog.  It is one blog I never fail to check on a regular basis.  Goodness knows a lot of information passes through my Inbox every day.  A busy person MUST become selective!  Rosalind is a very pragmatic woman who makes no outrageous claims, but is realistic about the hard work and persistence that goes into Affiliate Marketing.  If you study the right hand side of this page, you will see details about this book.

I got an email yesterday from someone who inquired, rather tongue-in-cheek what POWERS I’d like to have if I suddenly became a Super Hero.  Did I want to leap tall buildings in a single bound?  Would I like to have long tresses that protected me?  How about being invisible?

When you contemplate it for a moment, you have to realize that everyone on the planet is already supremely powerful.  We may or may not recognize it.  We may or may not understand that we do have power to exercise.  And we may not understand just what that power is.

Sometimes it takes a crisis to bring out our power. 

Our family was struck by a series of crises once when the family broke up and went in different directions.  At the same time, one of the children was critically ill.  It was during that period of stress and grief and anxiety that power rose up inside me.  I was able to channel all my energy into meeting my children’s needs, to care for my self in better ways than I had previously, and I was able to summon the strength and courage to advocate with brilliant results against Big Medicine on behalf of my sick child.

I mention all this in order for you to look at YOUR situation.  Are you aware of your power?  Do you FEEL strongly that you can speak your truth?  Do you have the confidence to act on your beliefs, your convictions? 

The internet is making it possible for more and more people to express themselves.  Whether you have a shop on the city square or you raise donkeys in a countryside setting, you can reach out across the globe to connect with other like minded people.

I find it utterly astonishing that at my age I can work in the comfort of my own home, learning things I never dreamed of before.  I am beginning to understand the power I have to create products, to share information, to help others learn what I know about health, wealth, internetworking and all the many delicious things that have come my way. 

My learning curve is steep.  Sometimes it feels as if the way is all uphill.  Then, on a conference call or by reading a blog post or someone’s comment the light comes on and there is understanding, comprehension, SUCCESS!  It is a joyous thing.  Better still, that same joy is available to anyone who cares to partake.

Emails are fun, most of the time…who on the internet doesn’t love www.Twitter.com…?   And phone calls can change the mood of your day!

I was Tweeting when I saw a 140 character message indicating I was in the running for a prize!  It was posted by Jeff Wellman, the internet guru who is one of my internet coaches.  I did not even know I was eligible for this contest I have been so excited to promote, let alone IN THE RUNNING!

Well, when the phone call came I had stepped out to have lunch with my quilt-tying friends.  Then came the urgent email asking me to reappear since another coach, Dixie Brown, wanted to contact me.  That prompted me to make a phone call.  That’s when I learned that I had been chosen to win one-on-one coaching!  After I nearly FAINTED, I thought, “Boy!  What would my dad and mom think about THIS development?”  SIDEBAR:  I’m pretty sure they would be as pleased as I am.  END SIDEBAR

Back in the olden days, when I was a young woman with a new massage therapy business I was thrilled to order business cards for advertising and promotion.  Yes, Virginia, they did have printing presses in those days.

I chose a heavy card stock in a shade of pale green.  Embossed on it was a footprint.  I had named the fledging business “The Body Works”.  I was so proud that I must have been nauseating.

Business cards have changed dramatically since I learned how to do petrissage.  BUSINESS has changed, as well.  It has improved in so many respects…

One of the aspects of doing business now is, of course, the internet.  When I was dressing the massage table in fresh linens for the next client I thought I had little need for the internet.  Boy was I WRONG.  Just having a presence on the web gives a business instant credibility.

Another thing that has changed and made doing business much more interesting is the movement toward SOCIAL NETWORKING.

It was through such a medium, TWITTER, – www.Twitter.com to be exact – that I found something to be very excited about!  SOCIAL BUSINESS CARDS!
