Long ago I took out braggin’ rights on The Tremendous Trio, who are about to become the Fresh Fab Four, due to a merger between internet marketing giants.  One of those parties, SEO whiz kid, Paul Counts, has recently become a father again. This post is offered to honor him and his little family.  Happy Fathers Day, Paul!

The account that follows appeared in the Stillwater News in Stillwater, Oklahoma.  Since its appearance, the local radio station got on board and Paul will be appearing on a local radio station.

‘Business helps people make money online   By Jessica Jackson

At the age most students are graduating from college, one Stillwater resident has just opened his second business.

Paul Counts, 23, launched Rapid Cash Marketing, an online program that teaches users how to make money on the Internet, on March 3.

“There is money to be made on the Internet,” Counts said. “You just have to know how to search.”

Rapid Cash Marketing is a collaborative effort of Counts and two co-owners, Jeff Wellman of Michigan and Dixie Brown of Iowa.

“We all kind of bring different strengths to the table and make it work,” Counts said.

Wellman, 48, said he met Counts at a marketing convention in 2007 after being laid off from Gerber.

“I’d met Paul, and I asked them if they wanted to all kind of team up together,” he said, speaking of Counts and Brown. “We actually all work very well together.”

Rapid Cash Marketing has an online course that allows students to go at their own pace and learn tips on how to make money. One of the main tips is how to freelance, Counts said.

“Freelancing is how I’ve made my living,” he said. “The main thing is to find those jobs out there.”

He said to become a member, the cost is $1 initially, and then there’s a monthly fee to continue education and participate in frequent calls and live chats.

“The goal is to get them started low and have them making money within the first 30 days,” Counts said.

The business has more than 600 members internationally, he said. Members are varied, ranging from students looking to make a few extra dollars to retired individuals, people affected by recent lay-offs and homemakers.

“Sometimes, it’s that difference, a few $100, (that) can make or break it,” Counts said. “What we’ve found is that people who are taking action are making money.”

He works from home on Rapid Cash Marketing and his other business, Count on Us PR, a business he started at 17. With Count on Us PR, he helps businesses nationwide come up high on various search engines.

Counts lives in Stillwater with his wife and 2-year-old daughter.

Wellman said Counts’ age has not been a problem in the business. In fact, he said Counts has been a great colleague.

“He has a heart that doesn’t want to stop giving to other people,” he said. “He’s just a great person to work with.”’

I guess Paul is aware that he gives the rest of us a lot to emulate. He doesn’t seem to “get” that he is a Boy Genius, though. Maybe that’s part of his charm.

Amazon.com, the online book store, has Brown’s book in stock.  My own copy arrived today and I am just thrilled to my toenails!  The foreword has been prepared by Dr. Frances W. I got an email yesterday from someone who inquired, rather tongue-in-cheek what POWERS I’d like to have if I suddenly became a Super Hero.  Did I want to leap tall buildings in a single bound?  Would I like to have long tresses that protected me?  How about being invisible?

When you contemplate it for a moment, you have to realize that everyone on the planet is already supremely powerful.  We may or may not recognize it.  We may or may not understand that we do have power to exercise.  And we may not understand just what that power is.

Sometimes it takes a crisis to bring out our power. 

Our family was struck by a series of crises once when the family broke up and went in different directions.  At the same time, one of the children was critically ill.  It was during that period of stress and grief and anxiety that power rose up inside me.  I was able to channel all my energy into meeting my children’s needs, to care for my self in better ways than I had previously, and I was able to summon the strength and courage to advocate with brilliant results against Big Medicine on behalf of my sick child.

I mention all this in order for you to look at YOUR situation.  Are you aware of your power?  Do you FEEL strongly that you can speak your truth?  Do you have the confidence to act on your beliefs, your convictions? 

The internet is making it possible for more and more people to express themselves.  Whether you have a shop on the city square or you raise donkeys in a countryside setting, you can reach out across the globe to connect with other like minded people.

I find it utterly astonishing that at my age I can work in the comfort of my own home, learning things I never dreamed of before.  I am beginning to understand the power I have to create products, to share information, to help others learn what I know about health, wealth, internetworking and all the many delicious things that have come my way. 

My learning curve is steep.  Sometimes it feels as if the way is all uphill.  Then, on a conference call or by reading a blog post or someone’s comment the light comes on and there is understanding, comprehension, SUCCESS!  It is a joyous thing.  Better still, that same joy is available to anyone who cares to partake.
