May I Have Your Card?

Posted by admin on January 5th, 2009

Back in the olden days, when I was a young woman with a new massage therapy business I was thrilled to order business cards for advertising and promotion.  Yes, Virginia, they did have printing presses in those days.

I chose a heavy card stock in a shade of pale green.  Embossed on it was a footprint.  I had named the fledging business “The Body Works”.  I was so proud that I must have been nauseating.

Business cards have changed dramatically since I learned how to do petrissage.  BUSINESS has changed, as well.  It has improved in so many respects…

One of the aspects of doing business now is, of course, the internet.  When I was dressing the massage table in fresh linens for the next client I thought I had little need for the internet.  Boy was I WRONG.  Just having a presence on the web gives a business instant credibility.

Another thing that has changed and made doing business much more interesting is the movement toward SOCIAL NETWORKING.

It was through such a medium, TWITTER, – www.Twitter.com to be exact – that I found something to be very excited about!  SOCIAL BUSINESS CARDS!

Laura Beulke has an online presence for her printing and graphics company.  We are following one another and we pop in on Direct Messages from time to time.  I inquired about business cards and she shared with me the novel and creative things she is producing for her clients.

Being technically challenged as I am, I am unable to share these snazzy samples, but I can assure you they are TOP NOTCH, cutting edge and very creative.    Square-shaped and non-traditional, they are sure to catch the eyes of your contacts.

If you would like to see Laura’s offerings you can Tweet her at www.Twitter.com/VPG_Printing.  She is so eager to help you that she has made most generous offer for anyone who orders Social Business Cards:  Laura says, “Let’s offer your readers the same low rates I offer my Twitter follwers, which is $50.00 for 500 single sided color cards or$75.00 for double sided cards.  OR, get 1000 for $75.00, single sided and $100.00 for double sided cards.”

Laura’s basic designs start at $40.00 for cards.  She has various sizes but square business cards are all the rage…pricing for the non traditional cards is different and is based on the project itself.

Her offer is valid for 30 days from the date of this post, January 5, 2009.

I hope you will be as pleased as I was when you see what Laura and VPG_Printing has to offer.   NOW, IF ONLY I can figure out how to SHOW you the samples she sent!

Thank you Laura!  www.Twitter.com/VPG_Printing

TEN is the Magic Number

Posted by admin on July 30th, 2008

TEN is the magic number.

Pretty girls want to rate 10 on a scale of 1 – 10.

On the same scale we rate pain, movies, and how

well someone kisses.

So, what about being at 6′s and 7′s?

Well, that’s different. It’s like being on pins

and needles.

Nervous. Excited. Filled with anticipation.

I trounced around our little house today, all nervous,

excited and filled with anticipation.

That’s because I am about to

have a major session with my Coach!

My Coach is my mentor, my teacher, my

dear friend. She keeps me accountable, she

encourages me, and she is leading the way as

I maneuver the internet.

Best of all, she loves me just the way I am.

Dixie is a total pro.

You have all seen the email that appears in my Inbox on a regular basis.  It’s the same one YOU have in YOUR Inbox -about how you must hurry and get on board with the Work-At-Home program so you can lollygag around on a beach, counting piles of money.

Hey.  I’m working at home.  There is NO time for lollygagging and if there is a PILE of money, it has not come to my attention.

Yes.  Working at home affords me the luxury of choosing my schedule to fit around my passions.  I am on a steep learning curve.  Not being a techy type I need assistance in doing such tasks as loading a template for a report, checking on statistics, getting a successful internet enterprise up and running.

This is probably not going to happen by answering an email.  It takes work and focus and strategy.

The best strategy I could have followed was to link up with Jeff and Dixie, the Dynamic Duo who is teaching me the nuts and bolts of ‘How To’.

If you long for a way to make your dreams come true and you are willing to put in the time and effort it will call for, I would highly recommend that you

But do it ONLY if you want to be successful.

Being quite new to this game I will value your comments highly, so thank you for sharing your thoughts, opinions, and ideas!

You’ve GOT to Love Technology!

Posted by admin on May 22nd, 2008

We must have occupied ourselves somehow before there were computers in every quarter.  But for the life of me, I can’t recall what that was. JUST KIDDING!     I’m finding out, however…I lost my DSL connection last week.  The loss was crippling!      I am so old that I remember when there were no computers.  Some enterprising fellows came to our high school, back in the day, and they demonstrated the as yet unknown monster.  They prophesied that these ginormous beasts would find their way into every home in  America, just the way toasters and televisions had.    Erroneously, we scoffed!  I was a total naysayer.     Fast forward to today:  I work on the computer for my livelihood.  I can be in my ‘jammies, and work as early or late as my schedule decrees.  I pay bills, order products, conduct commerce, study, do research, and connect with my peeps. Even though I do not understand the workings and have no clue why my DSL went away, I have been enjoying the technology that gives me this delicious freedom.

I am blessed to have mentors.

Jeff Wellman and Dixie Brown teamed up to

help regular people, just like me, learn how to utilize the World Wide Web to earn an income.  I believe that anyone who can read would benefit from the programs Jeff and Dixie have designed and support.  In all sincerity I would urge you to seek their counsel by visiting this website:  http://www.clickaudit.com/goto/?112840

NOW before you leave this page!  They can help you in ways you may not yet have imagined.  If you would like to maximize your life, Lay Off Your Boss 2 will empower you and improve your life appreciably.          Soon you, too, could be joining the ranks of us who like working in our ‘jammies!
