Does your Inbox bulge every morning? Do you have so many incoming messages that your feel your eyes cross just by looking at the influx?
It can be overwhelming.
As 2010 arrived and everyone vowed to resolve this, that or the other thing I have remained steadfast in my determination to simplify, focus, and have fun.
It is not difficult for me to hit “DELETE” when I am greeted by an inbox full of messages promoting various projects.
Before I hit the button to dump another message, I noticed a headline that captured my attention:
“Warning: This Video May Offend You.”
I’m not easily offended. I am curious. So I clicked. What did I have to lose? I could watch a short video; no sweat.
Sam Crowley of Every Day is Saturday fame and fortune was the presenter. I’d heard of Sam, even though I have not met him yet. His video was simple, straightforward and uncluttered. He was casually attired and it seemed to me he spoke from his heart. His message resonated with me, for whatever reason.
I firmly believe that to succeed in Internet Marketing you are wise to be guided by someone who has experience and your best interest at heart. As a matter of fact, that’s one of the reasons this blog was created. It’s important for newbies to know what is available to them to maneuver their journey to success.
Even though Sam suspected I’d be offended, I was not. Those who may have mocked his enterprise as he began to climb the ladder of success may have found the message offensive but I was just favorably impressed. I was intrigued that his headline could capture my attention, his message could hold my interest, and I found it telling that Sam’s message resonated with me so deeply.
If you Google Sam Crowley, as I have, you’ll find he is no stranger to Internet Marketing. His story is greatly appealing. Sam has followed his passion and capitalized on it in very clever ways. Regular people can relate to what he has to offer.
I’m in no position to change horses; I’m in the middle of a stream. I’m thrilled with the coaching program that keeps my PayPal account looking healthy. But if you have not made a choice to follow a leader you admire, you would do well to take a look at what Sam is doing.
No one program is the end all and be all. If you find a coaching program that meets your needs, by all means, follow your heart and your passion and give it your all.

Over the holidays I met, via cyberspace, one of my favorite bloggers, Mitch. Bless his generous heart, he offered to whip out a guest blog post – which he DID, in jig time!

There are a lot of people trying to make money on the internet these days. Some people have been able to do well, but the overwhelming majority of people really don’t do that well online.
That’s fine, because if everyone could make big money marketing online there wouldn’t be anyone left to buy what the rest of us are trying to sell. Don’t let a lack of success stop you from at least giving it the best shot you can. Truthfully, for what it costs in trying to become an internet marketer, it behooves everyone to at least take their shot at it, read a few books, and see what kind of success they might have.
There is something that troubles me here and there, I must admit. That issue is seeing people spending all kinds of money on things that may or may not work, but definitely will cost a heck of a lot of money towards a learning curve you may never recover from.
Making money online really isn’t all that easy. Know that fact up front. If you put that one in the front of your mind, then you’ll believe me when I say that any program or book that tells you it’s easy to make thousands of dollars on the internet daily or weekly is a scam, plain and simple. Things like Internet Millions, which dominates TV commercials, or Stores Online, which markets in every major city in the country and sends out free invitations to entice you to visit, are scams.
Understand this; the definition of the word “scam” doesn’t mean something might not work. It means you’re being told deceptive things to get you to buy act on something. Internet Millions costs you more long term than that $45 they tell you on TV. Stores Online at least tells you how much you’re going to be spending up front, but they also tell you that most people make back what they spend in a year, and it’s just not true.
The internet is filled with a lot of people who will take your money and give you almost nothing that’s good for you in the long run. Good information you can use doesn’t always come free. But some information will cost you more than you really want to deal with. You’ll feel disappointed and cheated and emotionally hurt and drained. Save yourself some time and grief; don’t fall for scams. Research everything before you buy. Spend your money wisely.

Affiliate Marketing is one aspect of internet marketing. It’s all about selling other peoples’ stuff and it is a great idea-if it works well.
Is affiliate marketing working well for YOU? If so, you no doubt understand why. And we would be interested to have your comments on this page, if you’d be kind enough to chime in! People will wail, “It didn’t work for me. I tried it but I gave up because I couldn’t do it!”
Giving up is understandable but will not help you achieve profitability and it’s not really necessary. Let’s examine some of the elements of affiliate marketing and see if we can help you figure out what WILL work.
First and foremost, you must know that it is not the affiliate marketing that works; it is YOU.
If you know anything about real estate you have heard the expression “Location. Location. Location.” Location is EVERYTHING in real estate. With internet marketing in general and affiliate marketing in particular the cry is: “Preparation. Preparation. Preparation.
Ben Franklin said “By failing to prepare, you prepare to fail.”
People tend to want instant gratification so they think that by doing anything, even out of sequence, they will surely hit their mark. Think, “Ready. Aim. Fire.” People who are unprepared are likely to fire first and fail to aim or be ready.
Would-be affiliate marketers with home based businesses would be wise to lay out long term goals with short term goals for every step that needs to be taken. Beyond that, there need to be rewards in place for the completion of both long term and short term goals.
SIDEBAR: Make the rewards fit the goals. For example, if you finish three things on your Task List, you get to do the Happy Dance and meet a friend at the coffee shop. When you earn the dollar amount you have set for yourself, you get to turn cartwheels in the yard and spend a day at the beach. Or you get to buy a new book dealing with your niche. I’m sure you get the idea. END SIDEBAR.
Here is a great idea from one of the Top Gurus, an internet marketer who is proficient in affiliate marketing:
He uses a white board to post his goals and his tasks. As each one is accomplished he erases it, does the Chicken Dance, and eats waffles at his local hangout. For the bigger goals, he eats Chinese. That’s HIS thing; what is YOURS?
Don’t get your knickers in a twist when you miss your mark. Reset your goal, tweak your priorities, keep at it and prepare like never before!
Commitment is a huge factor in the success of any endeavor. Internet marketing, affiliate marketing is no different in that way. If you are not committed to your preparation and learning and success, who will do it for you? Commitment cannot be outsourced nor can its importance be underestimated.
When you are committed, consistency will be a given. You cannot expect to post on your blog with your affiliate links and then wait a week or a month to re-post. Your lack of commitment and your lack of enthusiasm will be patently obvious to visitors of your site.

Not quite.
Affiliate Marketing, or selling other peoples’ stuff can be raised to an art form. If it’s done correctly it can yield someone who’s interested in working from home or anyone who wants to make money online a good living.
But it’s not for the faint of heart. And no matter what claims you may have heard, it is NOT for the lazy. Anyone who has the gumption to take action and follow through can make something happen for himself!
There are numerous ways to promote the products you choose. You can write articles and submit them to article directories; you can promote things by using an ebook loaded with your affiliate links and you can bring attention to your affiliate products with press releases, social networking; even pay per click campaigns.
Video is ginormous and in order to be in the loop, video skills are a MUST LEARN. I know whereof I speak. I promise you it is on my radar and my To Do List.
It’s important to have the proper elements in place to make Affiliate Marketing the profit maker you desire. Squeeze pages, opt in boxes, one time offers, thank-you pages and autoresponder messages are absolute necessities if you hope to make money online.
Under the heading of “This is how to git ‘er done” you’d want to list consistent blog posting; quality article and blog post content; value; added value; over delivering to your prospects and customers; impeccable integrity and quality affiliate products in ‘white hot’ niches.

Healthy family relationships define wealth for me. Playing with the grandchildren, helping your offspring to mold THEIR youngsters is critically important to successful family life.
We were blessed to spend quality time with two of our grandchildren this week. Jacob is 2 and Avery is 6 months. Grandpa was helping Daddy with some household fix-ups and Grandma got to show Jacob how to make paper hats. Grandma deferred to Grandpa to show off his paper airplane skills.

When Mary was in “kindergarten” class for internet marketing her very first homework assignment was to write articles. This first assignment was intended to generate an online ‘traffic jam’ by sending readers to Mary’s website, where she could show off her Widgets, enticing people to buy them from her. Mary’s internet coach meant not to overwhelm but to guide her as she made her way along a learning curve to a successful home based business career.
Alas, Mary saw article writing as time consuming. She insisted she felt inadequate; besides, she claimed she did not have the time to write every day. Mary could not recognize her own life experiences as having value, so she turned in an ‘incomplete’ and turned in few assignments. The result: Mary did not generate enough traffic to keep her in the ‘make money online’ game for long.
Someone said Mary recently applied for public assistance and moved into low income housing.
IF ONLY, Mary could have generated one or two articles a day every day except Sunday perhaps she could have earned a comfortable living.
The coaching program Mary foolishly left behind had her best interest at heart. Mary just did not understand that by creating quality content on a consistent basis she could have established herself as an expert following a distinguished career as a teacher!
Moreover, if only Mary had made the effort to submit well written articles with premium content to article submission sites on a consistent basis she might be living an entirely different life.
How would it affect traffic generation to YOUR website if you were to submit quality content on a regular basis? And how do you suppose that might impact YOUR income?
Wouldn’t it be worth the time and effort to follow through on that idea?
