We are buzzin' about... HONEY...and CINNAMON!

Someone I love  a lot once gave me this advice:

“If three people tell someone he’s drunk, he’d better go lie down.”

Your humble blogger mentions this because the Inbox had the same message three times this morning.  We can only presume some of you have seen this same information.  Some of it is being shared here today because clearly it can impact your health for the better and part of the reason Mother Connie wakes up every morning is to help people be as well as can be.

Here are three reasons why you would be wise to add HONEY AND CINNAMON to your daily regimen:

1.  HEART ISSUES:


You can make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder, apply on bread or toast, instead of jelly and jam, and eat it regularly for breakfast. That would reduce cholesterol in the arteries and save one from heart attack. Also, for those who have already had an attack, if they do this process daily, they are kept miles away from the next attack.  Regular use of the above process relieves loss of breath and strengthens the heart beat.  In America and Canada , various nursing homes have treated patients successfully and have found that as aging progresses, the arteries and veins lose their flexibility and get clogged; honey and cinnamon revitalize the arteries and veins.

2.  ARTHRITIS:

Arthritis patients may take daily, morning and night, one cup of hot water with two spoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. If taken regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent research conducted at the Copenhagen University, it was found that when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon Honey and half teaspoon cinnamon powder before breakfast, they found that within a week, out of the 200 people so treated,  73 patients were totally relieved of pain, and within a month, mostly all the patients who could not walk or move around because of arthritis started walking without pain.

3.  CHOLESTEROL:

Two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of cinnamon powder mixed in 16 ounces of tea water, given to a cholesterol patient, was found to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood by 10 percent within two hours.   As mentioned for arthritic patients, if taken three times a day, any chronic cholesterol is cured. According to information received in the said Journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.

Healthy and Wealthy: Is it Really That Simple?

Do you remember Jonathan Livingston Seagull?

Being healthy is a daily routine.

So is being wealthy.

If you maintain good health, you have a much better chance of becoming wealthy.  If you lose your health-GAME OVER.

What IF you feel your health slipping away?  What are your options?  Would you consult a traditional medical professional?  Would you ignore your symptoms?  Might you travel to another country for a consultation?

People who suffer from the long term effects of stress become ill and feel terrible desperation.  People who lose their wealth, or any portion of it, feel the same  hideous terror.

Being Healthy and Wealthy: Do You Sleep Like a Baby?

This new little person hasn’t a care in the world.  He or she is too tiny to realize what a mess the world is.  This little one doesn’t even have to worry about whether Mommy and Daddy have ToothSoap! There is so much hope and promise in this wee life it almost takes a grandparent’s breath away!

Babies may keep odd hours, but new babies generally do their fair share of sleeping.  Who could imagine these peaceful beings growing into adults who toss, turn, snore, and struggle to get adequate rest?

Lack of sleep contributes to illness.  It creates memory issues.  It is a miserable problem that may feel insoluble.

These ideas may be beneficial to you if getting enough sleep is a top priority:

  • Fill your tummy well before bedtime so you are not digesting food when it is time to rest and sleep.
  • Keep your activity level low prior to bedtime.  Reading, sewing, writing, bathing are activities which help people wind down their busy days.
  • Establish a regular bedtime routine:  lay out your clothes for the next day.  Consult your ToDo list and gather whatever you might need when you leave your house the next morning.  Set out your breakfast things and any medication or supplements you require.  Brush your teeth.
  • Melatonin can help you drift into dreamland.  Health food stores offer homeopathic melatonin so popping one tiny pellet under the tongue can really be beneficial.  Ask the operator of your health food store to assist you in finding the correct product for your needs.
  • Adding a supplemental calcium/magnesium/vitamin D capsule to your evening meal or bedtime routine can ease you into the deep relaxation you seek.  These critical elements assist your body to take advantage of its own rhythm and sleep/wake cycle.

  • Avoid newscasts or action movies before bedtime.

H1N1 Flu: This is Getting on My Last Nerve!

Someone sent me the definitive explanation about the difference between Swine flu and Bird flu.  Here is the way to tell what you need in either case:  If it’s Bird flu, you need a TWEETment.  If it’s Swine flu, you should use OINKment.

So much noise is being made about the supply of vaccinations and whether injections or nasal spray is the better solution.  The television is off these days because everybody’s heard enough of the admonition, “Ask your doctor.”

Fooey!  A doctor will recommend MEDICINE and illness is so not about medicine.  Every health care worker whose face shows up on our TV screens or whose voice can be heard over the internet is yammering about the need for prevention and treatment.  And medicine.

Would it shock you to know that we do not need to resonate with illness?  Would you be astounded that we can ask for wellness and revel in receiving it?

SIDEBAR:  Remember the Bible verse -”Ask and it  shall be given you; seek and you will find; knock and it shall be opened to you.”?   Matthew 7:7  END SIDEBAR.

Dr. Roger Callahan determined that EVERYone, when asked, chose health over sickness.  Our biology knows on a cellular level that we deserve to be well.

So, here’s my deal:  Get plenty of rest.  Drink pure , filtered water and lots of it.  Eat your vegetables.  Make sure you are getting lots of whole foods, fruits, nuts, seeds, grains.  Eliminate sodas and gooey treats.  Brush your teeth.  Wash your hands.  Cultivate thoughts of well being.  Be grateful.  Say your prayers.

SIDEBAR:  Does it seem as if you’ve heard it all before?  I remind you that if three people tell you that you’re drunk, you’d better go lie down.  I’ve told you repeatedly about all the above.  JUST DO THOSE THINGS, please!  END SIDEBAR.

Being healthy and being wealthy requires some tall doing.  I know this for a fact because I am traveling on both paths.  One of the ways these paths intersect has been Energy Medicine.

There is a song that says, ” A spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down…” and in my mind, Energy Medicine is the sugar that sweetens  life.

Vaccinations?

The newspapers are covered with the headlines; our televisions show the “evidence.”  The radio has been blaring with all the fear mongering and dire so-called “urgency” of the moment.

The Center for Disease Control has issued the call for everyone, it seems, to be vaccinations to be “protected” against nearly every ailment listed in their books!

All this attention to vaccinations has gotten on my last nerve!

The Healthy Wealthy Team takes issue with this tactic.  Little bodies, aging bodies, vigorous bodies in every age group require organic whole foods.  They need good, pure water.  They all need rest and relaxation balanced with movement and exercise.  Everyone of  both sexes need to have meaningful work, to laugh often and feel loved always.  NO ONE NEEDS TOXIC VACCINATIONS.

People do NOT lack toxic medication in order to be well.  People DO require vitamins, minerals, enzymes, phytonutrients, anti-oxidants and natural elements in order for the human body to be well enough to function properly.  We need to ingest things to keep our nervous systems, our digestion, assimilation, circulation and elimination working efficiently. Toxicity-laden medications do not accomplish any of these tasks.

Vaccinations do not strengthen our immune systems.  Quite to the contrary, vaccinations weaken our immunity.

I’m sure you have noticed that the delivery system of traditional medicine is in such disarray it is not likely to be rescued.  The whole third party pay system with insurance, government programs and such like are totally out of control.  Big Pharma is sicker than the patients it purports to serve.

Whaddya MEAN, Pain is a Blessing?

“Pain has been a blessing in my life.”  –Dr. Alex Loyd

Well, that’s pretty amazing.  Even Dr. Alex has explained that it is human nature to avoid pain and seek pleasure.

He has certainly experienced pain in his own life.  He, like all of us, had scraped knees as a child. He even had a kidney stone once!  Worse, he endured the pain of having his own wife toss him out of their house nineteen years ago!    OUCH!  That is PAIN!

In those days, Dr. Alex was a self-described ‘spoiled brat’ who admits he had a sense of entitlement.  His wife was not on board with that kind of thinking, so she ‘encouraged’ him to shift his thinking by throwing him out of the house.

In hindsight, he can realize objectively that it gave him an opportunity to “man up” and take a good, hard look at his life.  Because of the painful  situation created for him, he was able to see the truth.  He could see that his destructive behavior derailed his life, his happiness, his joy.  He had been given an opportunity to make changes and choose integrity, truth, a new perspective!

By her actions, Dr. Loyd’s wife had handed him his greatest gift: the blessing of pain.  He did not see that at the time.  He was in too much pain.

ARE YOU HURTING?  There can be physical, financial, emotional, relational misery.  Any one of those can cause untold misery.

Any of those pains are responses to fear.  Stress is a fear response.  Stress makes us sick.  Here are the options:

1.  Ignore the pain

2.  Rationalize the pain

3.   Embrace the pain

If we ignore the pain, wishing it would go away, we give the power to the pain or the situation causing the pain.

If we rationalize we ignore our Truth.  If we do not live in Truth and with love, our life is not enriching, joyous.

When we EMBRACE our situation and accept it for what it is, we canlook at it from every perspective. We then allow ourselves to find a golden nugget.  We can grow.  We can strengthen our character.  We can experience full JOY!  We can learn to become our best self.

It can be painful to learn.  If you are in pain-whether it is physical, emotional, financial, relational-please follow this simple strategy  by asking yourself the following questions:

*Why is this happening in my life?

*What in my life could change for the better?

*What can I learn from this situation?

Finally, BE GRATEFUL for the opportunity, the insights, the growth you will have!  Those are the blessings of pain.  Yes, we mean it when we insist that pain is a blessing!

Reflective Thinking

Ken Johnson is a man of deep caring and high integrity.  He is associated with The Healing Codes and he has coined this phrase:  “Deal with it or die with it!   He was referring to all the issues that crop up in our lives that must be handled–stress, illness, relationships,  and decisions.  If our issues are untended and allowed to fester, illness is guaranteed.

There is a technique for managing these matters.  Ken recommends we take ONE HOUR DAILY to quiet our bodies and our minds and simply concentrate on THINKING.  He offers that we must ask questions of ourselves and focus intently and carefully on the answers.  Here follows Ken’ list:

1)  Is my life working?

2)  If not, why not?

3)  What is next?

These are questions that can be asked of yourself “post mortem” or after an event that just sucked the life out of you.  It’s wise to consider journaling your thoughts and feelings iabout those events AND YOUR RESPONSES TO THOSE EVENTS in order to look objectively at the big picture. 

I heard you rolling your eyes, thinking of finding an hour in your busy, crowded life.  Consider this:  Jim Rohn, the well known  and highly successful author was asked how he credited his astonishing success.  Without hesitation he gave this answer:  “There’s no doubt about why I am successful.  I took out ONE DAY EACH WEEK just to think.” 

I think if Jim Rohn could take ONE DAY EACH WEEK just to think, you and I could manage ONE HOUR to THINK, reflect and journal, realize our Purpose and potential and  become successful.

THAT is reflective thinking.  It’s also powerful Energy Medicine.
